Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan) is the daughter of Wayne David Cardellini (a successful businessman). Her parents are of Italian (from her paternal great-grandfather), Irish (from her mother), German, English as well as Scottish heritage. Linda was the youngest of four children in San Francisco Bay, California. James was later cast as the role of Countess Natasha Rostova in the television adaptation of War & Peace (2016) as well as starring in various films. These included the action-packed film Baby Driver (2017), the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) and The Dig (2021), as well as the musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Back Again (2018) and Yesterday (2019).
