Shailene Woodley is a American actor, activist and writer. She became popular with her role Alexandra "Alex" King, the teen who is struggling with addiction issues, in The Descendants. Following her awe-inspiring role on The Descendants, she came to the stage with a variety of other roles that displayed her ability to portray challenging roles effortlessly. Shailene has been able to make her mark in the world of Hollywood early on in her career, which in and of itself is quite an accomplishment. Following her start with commercials and TV shows, She then moved onto major parts in Hollywood movies.
