Carey, who is almost 5'10" tall, was once a leading American fashion model. Designers of the top calibre, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren loved her. In 1979 in 1979, the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists named her dad Scientist of The Year. Her father was a geologist who traveled the globe as a part of his profession. In the years of her college when she was modeling in a part-time capacity and caught the eye from Ford model Agency representatives in New York. In 1980, she moved to France where she briefly resided in Paris and Bordeaux but returned back to New York in order to explore an acting career. The model was featured on Vogue and Glamour covers.
